About Panorama
Michael and Sharon Vishacki welcome you to the Panorama Vineyard website.
The Panorama Vineyard is located just below the 43 deg latitude in Cradoc, southern Tasmania - just outside the township of Huonville - overlooking the Huon River. The vineyard enjoys an exceptional microclimate. As a low altitude area it has a cool temperate climate with moderate summers, very high sunshine hours and mild winters. The long slow ripening period allows for optimal development of fruit flavours. In summer leaves are removed from fruit area to expose fruit to the sun and nets are placed over each row - this ensures ripeness at vintage producing top quality fruit.

While time consuming, Michael considers the work worth the effort and this is reflected in the quality of the wine. Naturally... the grapes are harvested by hand and only fruit in pristine condition is used. Pruning is also still done by hand... and is yet another opportunity for Michael to inspect the vines and monitor their condition.
During maturation in premium French oak (and a hint of American) the wines are constantly monitored and the barrels topped up to deal with the inevitable evaporation. The end result is a wine which has very minimal preservative and is a superior product.Michael's wine making skills goes back many generations. He believes in the use of traditional and European wine making. And keeps up with the latest available technology and equipment.

The Vishackis' tender loving care and viticulture skills, shows in the depth of palate flavour, the structure and power of their pinots, are also reflected in the Vishackis' medal - winning Chardonnays, in the intense spiciness of the gewurztraminer and in their magnificent, intensely dark and brooding Cabernet and Merlot.

Over the past few years Michael and Sharon have not only achieved trophies, gold, silver and bronze medals for their premium quality wines, but also have been honoured in having their Pinot Noir served in First Class by Qantas airlines.
