Panorama’s 2008 Vintage has been put to bed

The Panorama 2008 vintage has been put to bed and according to Michael all is looking very good for another great vintage of Panorama wines.

The work doesn’t stop

With the 2008 vintage put to bed - the work doesn’t stop. Our contract pruners are hard at work in the vineyard, pruning back last season’s growth, ready for the new season.

The secret to the success of the pruning and vine training techniques used at Panorama closely follow the vineyard management skills that Michael gained from his visits to the famous Burgundy District of France.

Christmas and New Year Greetings

We at Panorama would like to thank all our customers for their invaluable support throughout 2007 and we look forward to your continued custom during 2008.

We would like to extend to you and your family Christmas greetings and we wish you all the best for the coming New Year.

We have some exciting plans for the New Year and we will divulge more in the next (January) issue of our newsletter.

Panorama Vineyard is pleased to launch its first Newsletter.

Michael creates a Bordeaux Classic Blend!

Michael has created a very fine hand crafted and picked Classic Bordeaux Blend. He has named the wine in honour of his father Tom.

Tom will be released very soon. Michael borrowed from his father’s vast knowledge of traditional European traditions of the blending process and so dedicated the wine in his honour.

This Classic Bordeaux blend is well structured and has intense flavours, finesse and elegance.

Blended Cabernet Sauvignon / Cabernet Franc / Merlot and Petit Verdot during fermentation presents a complex wine that delivers notes of black fruits and violets on the nose and palate.

A great wine for all to enjoy.

Panorama at the Taste of Tasmania

We are again showing and selling our fine range of classic cool climate wines at this years Taste of Tasmania commencing on the 28th December.

We will be located at site number 49. We look forward to seeing you there to enjoy the spirit of Christmas and New Year.

Come and have a chat to the friendly folk from Panorama!

Export to Canada

Great news! We are now exporting to Canada. A leading Canadian distributor has taken up our fine range of award winning Classic Cool Climate wines. We secured this contract just recently and we are very excited at the prospect of our wines gracing Canadian tables.

Hopefully this will open other doors in North America. With the abundance of quality fresh seafood which match our fine range of wines beautifully, the future looks bright for this foray into the Canadian market.
This will encourage Canadians to travel to Tasmania to enjoy our unique environment.

Michael in China

Michael has just had an article written about his efforts to assist the Chinese vineyards with their production. He assists with the whole process, from the vineyard and the full management of this through to the winemaking. He is also helping to up skill the local talent in the day to day running of the vineyard and winemaking.

Michael has passed on his considerable skills to a young Chinese man, also called Michael, who commenced working here at Panorama recently.

Michael attended the opening of a large vineyard and adjoining Chateau in the Penglai region just last month. Our wines are on display at the Chateau.

New Vineyard ay Glaziers Bay

Part of Michael’s work is consulting on the development of new vineyards. The latest is 1.2 hectares for Jim Chatto, of Glaziers Bay, Cradoc.

Apple Valley Centre

Great news regarding our cellar door outlet at the Apple Valley Centre Huonville.
Michael has exciting plans to upgrade this prime location which will further enhance our product presentation.

We will release further details as soon as they are available. We can assure you it will be in keeping with our high profile image for our very fine range of products.

Port Arthur Historic Site

We now have our range of classic cool climate wines available at the Port Arthur Historic Site Restaurant and Bar.

This will further showcase our product to the large contingent of overseas and domestic visitors, who pass through this famous site each year.

Jetty and Wetlands Boardwalk

We have applied for a grant to construct a First Class Jetty and Boardwalk facility to complement our existing vineyard, production facility and cellar door.

If we are successful, we will commence construction in February 2008. We plan to work in collaboration with Hobart Cruises and this will add a new dimension to a vineyard visit. The jetty will accommodate local pleasure craft and catamarans.

Panorama Wines now in many fine restaurants

Through the efforts of our sales, promotion and cellar door team, we have now placed our range of very fine wines into some of Tasmania and the mainland’s finest Restaurants.

The matching of Tasmania’s wonderful array of first class seafood and produce, with our excellent range of classic, cool climate wines, makes for a world class dining experience.

Hard work now showing the fruits of success

Michael and Sharon Vishacki and their two daughters Natasha and Jasmin have lovingly put a fantastic effort into the development of Panorama Vineyard.

Coupled with a loyal and dedicated team, the results of very hard work are now coming to fruition.
Our mission is to produce, classic cool climate wines, for all to enjoy.
