2008 is regarded as one of the best vintages Tasmania has seen for a long time, a cool spring, finishing with gloriously long summer days.  The Panorama Riesling has lime, lime and lime!  More limes on the palate, with a mineral lemon acid finish.  This wine will age gracefully.

2003 Reserve Pinot Noir (Limited Edition)

The RESERVE status denotes our special parcels of wine sourced from some of our best and oldest estate 30-year-old vines. The wine is produced from exceptionally low fruit yields, which adds richness, complexity and longevity to the wines. Settled in French oak (30% new) for extended maturation of 22 months. Gravity fed techniques and non-filtered to retain the fullest of flavour and cellaring potential.

The product of an excellent vintage, the wine displays Tempranillo’s typical spice, dark fruits and savoury earthiness. It drinks beautifully with richer pasta and red meat dishes and, with careful cellaring, should develop greater depth and complexity over the next five years or so.

This classic hand picked and crafted Cabernet Blend is well structured and has intense flavours, finesse and elegance. Blended Cabernet Sauvignon / Cabernet Franc / Merlot and Petit Verdot. The fermentation helps to integrate the flavours which adds complexity to the wine and delivers notes of black fruits and violets both on the nose and palate. My father Tom imparted the knowledge of the blending process from European traditions, which inspired the naming of this wine.

On rare occassions, vintage conditions in the Huon Valley allow Botrytis Cinerea, noble rot, to occur in the Sauvignon Blanc Grapes. 2004 was one such year in the Panorama Vineyard producing very sweet grapes with concentrated flavour. The result is a luscious wine. A superb accompaniment with desserts.

In 2007, Natasha our eldest daughter set about making her first wine with the help of her Dad! The result is a lively fortified Pinot Noir free run juice, full of sweet berry fruit. A superb accompaniment with desserts and a selection of cheeses.
